EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Chad Ochocinco said his Sunday night matchup with Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis would be like Pacquiao-Mayweather. But it turned out to be more like Tyson-Spinks. And Ocho wasn’t Tyson.
The Jets dominated the Bengals Sunday night, and Revis dominated Ochocinco, who caught zero balls for zero yards and left the game at halftime with a knee injury he suffered during warmups. The disappointing night for Ochocinco capped a week in which he bragged (good-naturedly — he and Revis are friends) on Twitter and in a conference call with New York reporters that Revis couldn’t cover him and promised to celebrate in a Bengals fire helmet when he scored a touchdown.
“He’ll be fine,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said when asked about Ocho’s injury. “His pride got bruised.”
