So you have already created your first blog and you are sharing your thoughts with the world on a regular basis. Moreover the people are interested in what you have to say and you are already getting some visitors to your blog. The question now is, how to monetize it. You would like to earn some dollars with your blog, but dont know how to start. We will show you the fastest way of monetizing your weblog.

Google AdSense

The easiest way to monetize your blog is with Google Adsense. Adsense is an advertising network system where site owners put some Advertising Codes to their websites and profilt whenever somebody clicks on the ads. You earn money for bringing people to your blog and hoping that they will click your ads. (never click on your own ads !!! you will be banned instantly).

Since you’re already getting visitors, simply sign up for an Adsense account and wait for the Google team to approve your new account. Its very simple, click the Adsene banner, fill out the Adsense Signup Form and enter your personal & site information. Google will review your application in a couple of days and confirm your signup. Once the Google team has approved your new account, you will have access to the Adsense Dashboard and can place up to three ad blocks on one page according to the Google TOS. In the Adsense Dashboard you can choose between the different ad codes, track your campaigns and take a look at your income balance statistics.

Mighty Adsense

Mighty Adsense is the ideal plugin to display Google Adsense Advertisments integrated in your posts and pages. The default configuration comes with one Google Ad in the format 336×280 which is displayed at the bottom of every wordpress post and page. You may easily change that configuration to display your own Google Adsense Code and to make it fit to your stlye. Therefor login to your admin area and click OPTIONS - MIGHTYADSENSE and change the “Ads Code” form by adding your publisher-id, ad-format and colors.

Adsense Revenue Sharing

We share 20% of the Adsense Sidebar Widget. You simply place the Adsense Widget into your sidebar and enter your pubisher-id & change the adsense-format and color. Your adsense block will then be displayed 70 times in 100 page impressions (our block will be displayed 30 times).

Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.” To show off your Akismet stats just put Akismet Widget in your template.
